The native americans are still really close to their spirituality and they use to say “walk your talks”. Literally ‘do what you say’ or ‘be who you pretend to be’.
These few words really explain the new bend that I decided to take. Books, documentaries, fire talks…its enough. The information is understood and digested, it’s time for action. Hapiness can t take place into dreams and illusions. Thoughts are corupting our spirit and give us illusion of acting and good consciousness but the real success, the accomplishment of oneself comes through acting.
So there I am, 6 month from obtaining social and academic aknowledgment, decided to drop it all to pursue the inner voice of my heart. One can’t fight against himself. I’ve tried and pretended for too long already.
From all these years of reading and searching, the universe answered my call. It’s the law of attraction. My studies where bringing too much inner conflict without any hope of further improvement. But it’s never too late. I don’t want to participate to the planetary genocide, the waste and depletion of our resources, the mad race after competitivity and productivity etc
We need to believe in a better world, all together. We don’t need to call that utopia. I recently regain hope about humanity because the solution exist. It comes through awareness and acting as a result. What we need is a coming back to the Source, renew the contact with our spirituality long gone and open our eyes on our divine origins and our creative nature. We are all one same consciousness and our power of acting and creating is limitless. I sincerely whish you to realize it.
Coming back to my new changes: I wanna live in the present, as only the present matter, without caring about the future. Take death as your personal adviser say the Toltecs, and you ll live fully. Yes we need money, yes we need to anticipate the future. But only on small scales: 1,2,3 years at most. Who knows what will happen then?
This time I’m on a big spiritual journey searching for this yet unknown “me”. I have lots of projects and ideas but altogether they only trace the path that is prone to change every moment. Thereby I’m not closing any doors.
I’ll start with a 10 days meditation course in a Vipassana center, close to Montréal.
-The Vipassana meditation is a practice taught throughout the world. It teaches the art of meditation, to free your mind and develop wisdom. The centers work under donations. http://www.dhamma.org/ -
Then I’ll set off to California, landing at San Francisco. California represents the American Dream and is still the center of ‘on the edge’ movments on many aspects: intelectual, spiritual, techological… I’ll go explore the national parks but especially experiment what I see more of a major change on my path: chamanism.
The subject would deserve long explanation that I won’t get into here. Chamanes have always been the center of moral, physical, social and mental equilibrium of ancient communities: our ancestors. They are not crazy old primitive savages but rather people really sensitive to life and capable of extraodinary healing techniques. We don’t learn how to become a chaman but rather how to practice chamanic healing. Chamanes know how to journey in the unconscious to help and cure our souls. It is an amazing tool for self exploration and is really life teaching.
-The FSS (Foundation for Shamanic Studies) was created 34 years ago by Micheal Harner. As an anthropologist, he received the chamanic teachings that he latter decided to communicate and perpetuate in the western world. Nowadays, the fondation is well working and has numerous certified teachers around the globe. http://shamanism.org -
From there, I’ll have no plan. The following promises to be surprising. On top of these new spiritual experiences, I wanna open myself a bit more toward the others and stop to organize my time only around myself. I’m ready to try volonteering, to participate to ethical/environmental projects…and to do some woofing.
- The word Woofing come from UK. Throught free manual labor, it aims to sustain biologival and responsible agriculture. A website gathers all farms in the world being part of the project. It usually works on a 20h per week basis in exchange of food and a shelter. http://www.wwoofinternational.org/ -
Finally, the last componant of my journey will be the creativity. Everyone being a little bit invested in introspection would have felt the fundamental necessity of creating. We are all creators by nature. I wanna try to redevelop the pleasure to create. Drawing, sculpting, building, gardening, playing music… there is so much to do.
This is it for my first post. I would like to be able to tell you where I’ll be and when I’ll come back but I have truly no ideas.
I feel a sincere love and attachment for my friends and family, despite my constant remotness. I build up this website to keep these links in the present and to keep sharing my adventure and what moves me around and takes me to new horizons.
A call for liberty
